Ankara, the capital of Turkey, is the second largest city in Turkey. It's a cosmopolitan city, a lovely mix of people from many different cultures. It is in the Central Anatolian region of Turkey and has many tourist attractions such as Anıtkabir, the beautiful mausoleum of modern Turkey's first President Kemal Atatürk on the hill.

Traces of cultures such as Hittites, Lydians, Phrygians, Greeks, Persians, Romans, Galatians, Byzantines and Turks are still evident in Ankara. The charming King Midas, who turned everything to gold, is said to be buried here in Gordion, a suburb of Ankara.
Home to the State Opera and Ballet, numerous theater companies and the Presidential Symphony Orchestra, the city is also Turkey's cultural capital. There are many bazaars and shopping centers where you can shop and enjoy local and continental cuisine.
There are many public and private hospitals in Ankara (55 public and 33 private). Many visitors come here for treatments, and the city has some high-value branded spa and wellness centers that offer internationally popular therapies. Traditional baths, Turkish baths and hot springs attract a large number of foreign tourists as well as domestic tourists. The international airport connects it to many countries as well as other parts of Turkey, and trains and buses are other modes of transport that make it easily accessible.
